FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to designs of converted aircraft. Convertiplane able during flight to switch from aircraft flight mode to helicopter flight mode and vice versa contains at least one main rotor bearing at least one rotor blade. Bearing screw has the possibility of turning about an axis which is substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the convertiplane, for transition between a folded position, in which at least one blade is located along the body of the convertiplane, and a working position, in which at least one blade is arranged so that to be able to rotate to provide a hoisting force of the convertiplane. At that, the rotor is controlled so that to be able to stay in the folded position during the aircraft flight mode and to be in the operating position during the helicopter flight mode.
EFFECT: reduced aerodynamic resistance in horizontal flight.
