FIELD: pipes and hoses.
SUBSTANCE: objects of invention are method of performing repair works on wall of pipeline for fluid medium and tool (1) for method implementation. Tool (1) comprises tubular part (100) and at least first sealing means (130, 135) and second sealing means (120, 125). Proposed method comprises moving tool (1) inside pipeline to position tubular part (100) against wall defect (210) of said pipeline. Method further comprises a step of sealing upstream of said defect and downstream of said defect, respectively, by first and second seal means (120, 125, 139, 135) to create sealed area (320) in a portion of pipeline around said defect (210), the next step, where said wall defect (210) is repaired.
