FIELD: radio equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in multi-position radio systems for determining coordinates of a given source of radio emission source (RES) with code and time division of channels. Technical result in range-difference (RD) method is achieved due to determining at preparatory stage centers of elementary volumes of controlled area (Xi, Yj, Zk), on which is formed a matrix of coordinates for each item (Xi, Yj, Zk) of N measurement bases "peripheral receiving station (PRS), – a central point for receiving and processing (CPRP)" is defined reference values of the signal difference reception time τi,j,k,n, forming N reference matrices, elements of each of which is corresponding to coordinates (Xi, Yj, Zk) reference value τi,j,k,n, and in the process of operation based on the considered set of operations for memorizing and analyzing the received signals, only the given RES radiation is selected, calculating N cross-correlation functions (CCF) for corresponding measurement bases, forming N correlation matrices by replacing elements τi,j,k,n of reference matrices with corresponding measured CCF values, summing the obtained correlation matrices, and for most probable location of preset RES, coordinates of point (Xi, Yj, Zk) corresponding to maximum value of element of total correlation matrix are received.
EFFECT: technical result is the development of difference-range-finding (RD) method of determining the location of a given RES in space with time or code division of channels, providing high accuracy of their location.
