FIELD: protection devices.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices providing protection of gas ducts against stray currents. Gas pipeline insulator includes a housing in the form of a branch pipe, the inner surface of which is shaped and has on one side a section mating under the surface of connection with the gas pipeline, and on the other side – a section on the cone with angle of 1.5°±1°, a bushing in the form of a profiled bent branch pipe with different nominal diameters, wherein the outer surface of the initial portion is shaped as mating the conical surface of the housing and has a cone with angle of 1.5°±1°, and the end has a diameter corresponding to the other section of the gas line for their butt joint, electrically insulating dielectric layer applied on the cone part of the bushing, which are jointly pressed into the casing cone, at that, the housing and the bushing form a single permanent part of the latch with the electrically insulating dielectric layer, note here that epoxy powder paint is used as dielectric layer. Dielectric layer features thickness of 0.5–0.35 mm. Outer isolating surfaces of the case and sleeve are coated with polyester resin. Housing and sleeve are made of steel.

EFFECT: improvement of tightness and electric insulation of one section of pipeline or reinforcement from another with simultaneous simplification of connection mounting.
