FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of electrically insulating sealing gaskets for flange connections, in particular to spiral wound gaskets, which, in addition to the tightness of the flange connection, provide electrical insulation of the flat flanges to be connected from each other, and can be used in flange joints of pipelines, pumps, filters, heat exchangers and other equipment of thermal and nuclear power engineering, in chemical and oil and gas industry and other industries. Electrically insulating sealing gasket for the flange connection contains a sealing ring with height hs, made in the form of a wound spiral of alternating layers of a profiled tape made of metal or from a polymer composite material based on continuous fibres, forming a frame with height hf, and extending above filler frame made of sealing dielectric material. At inner and outer diameters of sealing ring are mounted inner and outer limiting rings with height hl, each of which is made of structural dielectric material. At that, height hf of sealing ring shaped band frame is less, and height of sealing ring hs is greater than height hl of each of said inner and outer limiting rings: hf<hl<hs.
EFFECT: invention provides not only reliable tightness of flange connection at high pressures of working medium, but also its electrical insulation.
