FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a combined method of producing propene and propene oxide from propane. Method includes: a) a step for dehydrogenating propane to obtain a stream S1 containing propane and propene, where the total amount of propane and propene in stream S1 is not less than 95 wt. %; b) a step for separating stream S1, carried out in at least one rectification column, to obtain a stream of head product S2 containing more than 99 wt. % of propene, side stream S3 containing from 90 to 98 wt. % of propene, and stream of product still rich in propane compared to stream S1; c) a step for feeding propene into reaction with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of an epoxidation catalyst using a molar excess of propene with respect to the amount of hydrogen peroxide to obtain a reaction mixture containing propene oxide and unreacted propene; and d) a step for separating unreacted propene and propene oxide from the reaction mixture obtained at step c) to obtain a propene oxide product and a stream S5 containing propene and propane; where flow S3 is directed to step c), flow S5 is recycled to rectification column used at stage b), and flow S4 is recirculated to stage a).
EFFECT: disclosed method reduces power consumption.
