FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation of spacecraft (SC) equipment. Method includes determining relative position of observation object on underlying surface, SC and observation equipment (OE). Additionally, as per determined parameters of SC motion and orientation, it is determined, in which of the windows the track line of the normal to the plane of the window is closest to the flight route. Movable mirror placed on SC is unfolded to align the normal to this mirror with the bisector of the angle between the directions from the movable to the stationary mirror SC and to the predicted location of the observation object. Latter is searched for by mapping the underlying surface into the OE field of view. Normal to the plane of the stationary mirror is aligned with the bisector of the angle between the direction on the movable mirror and the axis of sensitivity OE. Movable mirror is unfolded until the observation object hits the required area of the OE field of view, after which the survey is performed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of guidance accuracy and tracking of observation objects of different removable OE.
