FIELD: aerospace engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to provide guidance of a manned spacecraft by the crew moving relative to a moving ship. Orientation of manned ship (MS) carried aboard of apparatus (1) includes determining position of landmark and movable equipment (ME) relatively MS, determination of reference position relative to ME, determination of rotation angles ME and reproducing commands for rotation ME. Additionally, determining and reproducing command information for transfer ME into a location, the direction from which to the landmark during a given time interval is at least a distance from the design elements MS, opaque for the recorded ME radiation, and determination and reproduction of command information for rotation ME in the required angular position is made starting from the moment of coincidence of parameters determining respectively the required and current locations ME relative to MS, wherein required angular position ME is determined from alignment of alignment axis ME with direction to landmark. At the moment of coincidence of parameters determining, respectively, the required and current position of the landmark relative to the axis of orientation ME, generating a control command ME.

EFFECT: guaranteed accessibility of the selected landmark to observation of the moved equipment with simultaneous provision of target control of the equipment freely movable relative to the manned spacecraft and guided by preset reference points.
