FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a reactor for catalytic steam-oxygen conversion of ammonia to obtain nitrogen oxide (II) required for synthesis of hydroxylamine sulphate. Reactor includes cylindrical housing consisting of two parts with smaller and larger diameter, connected by spherical or conical segment, conical cover, conical bottom, nozzles for inlet and outlet of gaseous reagents and reaction products, flange connector and additional flange connector, located on both sides of spherical or conical segment, package of catalytic gauzes with grates supporting them, ignition device, explosive membranes, distribution grid, cooling screen, package of evaporators and superheater and buffer zone located between internal side of reactor wall and package of evaporators and superheater and containing fibrous inorganic material that controls heat exchange in buffer zone.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of the process.
