FIELD: catalytic processes in chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalysts used in processes of conversion of ammonia (production of nitric acid and hydrocyanic acid), sulfur dioxide oxidation (sulfuric acid production), deep hydrocarbon oxidation (catalytic heaters), mild hydrocarbon oxidation (for instance, production of formaldehyde from methanol), purification of automobile and industrial wastes (off-gas afterburners), etc. Composition of catalyst carrier, made in the form of grains, fibers, silica and/or alumina-based woven and non- woven fabrics, additionally includes alloying additives of catalytically-active metals and/or their oxides (for instance, Pt, Pd, Rh, Ir, Ag, Au, Fe. Cr, Co, Ni, Mn, Pb, Cu) in amounts 0.0001- 1.0 wt %. The additives increase catalyst activity, increase adhesion of catalytically active metals to carrier surface, improve heat resistance and prolong life of catalyst.
