FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, to the generation of electricity by ionizing a liquid or gas medium and removing charge from it. Generator includes a chamber made in an electrically insulating box to create electrostatic charges in a medium with dielectric substances, equipped with a feed hatch for raw materials, connected with the outlet of the apparatus capable of grinding carbon-containing raw materials to the micron level, the inlet of which is connected to the raw material hopper, a device for polarizing the electric field; a device for driving the medium; the first and second electrodes. Medium with dielectric substances is formed as a mixture of air and gaseous and solid thermal decomposition products loaded into the chamber of carbon-containing materials. Device for moving the medium has an injector, the gas stream output of which on a pipe is directed at a tangent to the side surface of the chamber. Device for polarising the electric field is placed in the pipe and is made as a device for generating a constant magnetic field with poles directed along the pipe. Metal divider is made in the chamber, the first electrode is formed by a divider and an inner metal sheath on the side surface of the chamber, and the second electrode is an outer metal sheath on the side surface of the housing.
