FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for direct determination of lead in sea water using high-resolution atomic absorption spectrometry with electrothermal atomisation with simultaneous elimination of the effect of background interference caused by the sea water matrix. Method includes using mixed modifier of barium nitrate - hydrofluoric acid, optimum weight ratio is 60 mcg of Ba(NO3)2 and 1.52 mcg of HF, under the following analysis conditions: first-stage pyrolysis temperature of 350 °C, second 600 °C, atomisation of 1200 °C, wavelength of 283.3060nm. Detection limit is 0.0003 mg/dm3.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy of determination of lead in sea water.
