FIELD: heating equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat engineering, in particular to self-contained electric heating devices of heating systems, and is intended for heating residential and non-residential premises. Essence of invention – modular heater is a structure of separate metal sections of physically unconnected metal sections of identical shape and different size. Each section has the shape of hollow geometric spatial figure, due to which possibility of concentric insertion of sections inside each other is achieved by the principle of Russian "matryoshka". Such design increases total surface area of heat exchange, which increases efficiency of heat release into environment. Each section is a hollow body formed by front and inner parallel surfaces, as well as lower and upper end surfaces along the perimeter of the section. Inside the housing filled with liquid heat carrier there is an electric heating element which is connected to contacts of a heat-resistant plastic electrical connector tightly pressed into the end part of the metal housing. Thus, each section is structurally made in the form of separate independent heating module with electric connector intended for independent mechanical connection and disconnection of module with electric voltage source.
EFFECT: creation of self-contained safe electric modular heater with effective heat release, with possibility of independent modernization and with high degree of repairability.
