FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to three-element bogies of freight cars, in particular, to versions of bogie side frames manufacturing. Side frame comprises front and rear axle openings, opening for mounting bolster, equidistant from axle openings, as well as side walls. Group of profits is located on the first side wall. Thickness of the first side wall near each of the profits exceeds the thickness of the second side wall. Walls of opening for installation of bolster in sections adjacent to profits can be made thicker walls on other sections of said opening. Walls of axle openings on sections adjacent to profits can be made thicker walls of axle openings on other sections.
EFFECT: reduced number of casting defects in finished castings.
