FIELD: soil or rock drilling; mining.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to lubricating compositions used in drilling operations. Lubricating composition suitable for use in drilling operations, containing approximately 90.0 to 99.0 wt. % of at least one base oil composition, base oil composition contains from about 1.0 to about 15.0 wt. % water, and from about 1.0 to about 10.0 wt. % friction-reducing composition comprising at least one compound described by the given formula. Method of producing said lubricating composition suitable for use in drilling operations. Method of drilling a borehole, comprising introducing into the borehole of at least one base oil composition, the base oil composition contains from about 1.0 to about 15.0 wt. % water, and introducing the above friction-reducing composition into the wellbore to provide a concentration of the friction-reducing agent of about 1.0 to about 10.0 wt. % based on the weight of the base oil composition and friction-reducing composition. Method of providing a lubricating composition for a drilling operation, comprising providing for said drilling of at least one base oil composition, the base oil composition contains from about 1.0 to about 15.0 wt. % water, performing said drilling operation with said base oil composition for some time and adding to said drilling operation said friction-reducing composition. Well borehole drilling method includes introduction of the said lubricating composition into the well shaft. Hydrocarbon production method includes introduction of the said lubricating composition into the well shaft.

EFFECT: technical result is reduction of losses due to friction.
