FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electronic system for detecting and identifying coatings. System comprises a camera and processing resources, including a processor and memory connected thereto, storing instructions, in which performing image capturing, including initial light reflections associated with each of the main surfaces of the article, identifying the region for each of the reflections of the initial light and calculating the characteristics of the color coordinates for each of the identified reflections. Detection and recognition of coatings is carried out by comparing calculated characteristics of color coordinates with information stored in a database. As a result, output data is generated indicating the main surface (surfaces) on which each detected and recognized coating is formed, and the identifier of each coating.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy and simplification of measurement method.
