FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed method can be used in production of complex thin-walled welded products with thick-walled suspended elements. Tubular elements are to be welded and welded along their side surfaces by means of a longitudinal seam. Thick-walled suspended elements are welded to thin-walled welded tubular elements. Welding equipment is used, having two hollow tubular mandrels fixed by one of their end sides on common base, rigidly connected with rotary plate with possibility of its rotation from 0 to 360°. Rigid fixation of welded elements is performed with the help of expanding elements made with possibility of translational movement.

EFFECT: welding equipment ensures parallel axes of tubular elements, allows to reduce effect of welding deformations at warping of product structure and to improve quality of welded seam at gripping and welding of tubular elements and thick-walled suspended elements.
