FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding production and can be used in fabrication of complex-combined axisymmetric articles containing hollow thin-wall cylindrical shell and at least one end element in form of ring. Method includes the sleeve assembly at least one end element of the welding device for interference fit, tack welding butt end member to the sleeve, arc fusion welding in shielding gas and machining. Welding appliance is used, which includes a plate and at least 12 bolts, which are welded to base of plate along corresponding circles. For process of welding there used are also process plates, plates with mounting holes for bolts and corresponding nuts. Welding of the end element to the shell is performed round-robin in three passes with the welding seam layout for at least six sections.
EFFECT: use of invention improves quality of welding and reduces welding deformation.
