FIELD: heat exchange.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of light-weight ceramic heat-insulating and heat-insulating structural material, which can be used for thermal insulation of buildings, structures and various industrial installations. Method involves mixing pre-treated on silica extracting silica-containing component in form of quail and an alkaline component in form of calcined technical soda, homogenisation of the crude mixture and annealing in metal moulds. Prepared trephine is dried to raw material moisture content of not more than 3 %, homogenisation of crude mixture is carried out by grinding components in ball mills to specific surface area of not less than 500 m2/kg. Firing is carried out at rate of 1.5 to 4.5 °C/min to temperature of 750 to 850 °C with holding at maximum temperature for 30 minutes. Trephines of the following mineralogical composition are used: cristobalite 40.5–45.5 %, heulandite 14.8–19.8 %, muscovite 9.2–14.2 %, calcite 7.5–13.5 %, quartz not more than 12.0 %, tridymite of not more than 1.0 %, and content of calcined technical soda ranges from 15 to 20 % of weight of charge.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is simplification of articles manufacturing method.
