FIELD: construction materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the industry of construction materials and can be used in the manufacture of heat-insulating and structural-heat-insulating construction articles. Method of making porous glass ceramics involves mixing a pre-treated silica-containing component and an alkaline component, homogenising the crude mixture and firing in metal moulds. Silica-containing component used is tripoli and/or gaize and/or diatomite, and the alkaline component used is industrial calcined soda in amount of 10-22% of the charge weight. Preliminary treatment of the silica-containing component is carried out using grinding equipment to achieve maximum particle size of not more than 5 mm, followed by drying until moisture content of the raw material is 3.1-4.9%. Homogenisation of the crude mixture is carried out by combined grinding of components in grinding units to specific surface area of not less than 500 m2/kg. Annealing in metal moulds is carried out at rate of 0.05-1.45 °C/min to temperature of 450-650 °C with holding at this temperature for 0.5-16 hours with subsequent firing at rate of 0.5-1.45 °C/min to 750-850 °C with holding at maximum temperature for 10-60 minutes.
EFFECT: wider raw material base for production of light-weight ceramic heat-insulating and structural-heat-insulating material (porous glass ceramics) due to use of tripoli and/or gaize and/or diatomite for production.
