SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to heat-stable compositions of polymer scale inhibitors and use thereof. Method for inhibiting formation unit treatment deposits containing a water system, comprising a step of adding to said aqueous system an aqueous scale inhibiting composition, wherein said composition contains a carboxylic acid copolymer containing the following monomers: one or more monoethylenically unsaturated acids and/or anhydrides and/or one of their salts and 4-styrene sulphonic acid. Invention is developed in dependent items of the formula.
