SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used for application of compound of formula I for treating viral infections in subjects. A compound of formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or a hydrate of inhibiting viral polymerases of nucleic acids in a subject, where the viral infection includes a virus selected from a group consisting of families of orthomixoviruses, paramyxoviruses, arenaviruses, bunyaviruses, flaviviruses, filoviruses, togaviruses, picornaviruses and coronaviruses.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables using the compound of formula I as an inhibitor of a wide range of RNA-containing viruses.
