FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of nickel-based composite materials by chemical deposition. It can be used in aviation industry for application of coatings by plasma sputtering. Non-metallic powder is directed to a rolling device to produce strips which are placed in an attritor to obtain rounded granules. Nonmetallic powder with granules of round shape is mixed with activating solution consisting of alkali with concentration of 100–300 g/l and surfactant with concentration of 0.5–1.5 g/l. Chemical deposition of nickel is carried out in a heated reaction solution containing a nickel salt and a sodium hypophosphite reducing agent. Obtained composite material is subjected to thermal treatment at temperature of 500–900 °C for 40–180 minutes.
EFFECT: providing uniform coating of granules, increasing bulk density of composite material and increasing uniformity of obtained coating.
