FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of composite material based on non-metallic powder and metal-shell. It can be used as an abradable sealing coating on parts of aircraft engines, which is applied by means of gas-plasma sputtering. Powder of graphite is ground to submicron particle size. Obtained graphite powder is mixed with a binder, briquettes are produced from the mixture and subjected to heat treatment, crushing into powder and subsequent classification by particle size. Then graphite powder with specified particle size is heated to temperature of 140–170 °C and subjected to nickel plating with carbonyl method in inert gas medium. Composite material is obtained with flowability of 50–100 s, in chemical composition of which ratio of percentage content of nickel to content of graphite is 3.5–5.5.
EFFECT: obtaining material of uniform granulometric composition with given fluidity and high antifriction properties.
