SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of transport machine building. Embodiments of a structural element for a vehicle comprise a closing plate and a trough-shaped element. Trough-shaped element comprises an upper portion, two first ribs arranged at both edges of the upper portion, two flanges connected to the closing plate, two second ribs arranged on the edges of the two flanges, and two side walls located between the first rib and the second rib. Side walls include high-strength section and low strength sections. Sections of high strength of two side walls face each other and have yield point not less than 500 MPa. Sections of low strength have yield point making from 60 to 85 % of yield point of high strength section. Structural element for vehicle comprises said structural element installed on vehicle.

EFFECT: reduced deformation of structural section as a result of impact.
