FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the manufacture of heat-insulating elements using knitted fabrics from metal alloy. Knitted fabrics from metal alloy eliminate limitations of existing sealing closing elements from welded mesh from stainless steel by providing closing elements, which withstand higher operating temperatures than stainless steel, and are resistant to wear and damage. Can represent separate sealing layer and part of integrated sealing structure, provide significant changes of curvature for obtaining complex shapes without creases or buckling and can be connected during knitting, sutured or mechanically connected without the need of welding. To increase thermal protection, ceramic insulation can be integrated.
EFFECT: creation of mesh preforms in industrial scales.
