SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in wireless communication systems. To this end, user equipment in a wireless communication system receives RACH configuration information including preamble format information indicating a first format and transmits a RACH preamble in a first format. RACH preamble in a first format includes a cyclic prefix (CP) portion and a time-domain portion of the sequence. Preamble of a RACH in a first format satisfies the following: the length of the RACH preamble of the RACH in the first format is N times greater than the length N_CP CP of the OFDM symbol, where N is the number of OFDM symbols used for transmitting the RACH preamble, and is greater than 1.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of throughput using preamble format.
