SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electronic device, such as a camera and, in particular, to a configuration of a functional unit arrangement, which includes a touch working surface, on which a touch operation is performed. Result is achieved by the fact that electronic device includes first functional unit, which includes touch working surface, on which touch operation and sliding operation is performed, a touch detection surface arranged inside the touch working surface and configured to detect a touch operation, and a gripping portion configured to be held by the user, wherein the touch detection surface is divided into at least two detection surfaces, including from the first detection surface to the Nth detection surface in the order from the side remote from the gripping fragment in the direction of the sliding operation, wherein the gripping fragment is provided closest to the Nth detection surface of at least two touch detection surfaces in the direction of the sliding operation, wherein touch working surface includes first working surface and second working surface provided on outer edge of first working surface, wherein first and second working surfaces differ from each other in at least one of protrusion, texture and colour value, and wherein first detection surface is provided over second working surface provided on outer edge of first working surface on side remote from gripping fragment.

EFFECT: technical result is providing a sensor operating element, which a user can control by recognizing a touch detection unit even when viewed in the view finder.
