SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of automatic gain control (AGC). Proposed AGC, which contains HF unit comprising multilevel HF attenuator 2.1, HF converter 2.2 and IF attenuator 2.3, mixer 2.4, digital signal processor 2.5, a receiving unit of the baseband, including a first two-channel amplifying and conversion device (ACD) 2.6, the second two-channel ACD 2.7, two-channel low-pass filter 2.8, third two-channel ACD 2.9, two-channel ADC 2.10, first DAC 2.11, second DAC 2.12, third DAC 2.13. Digital processor 2.5 includes power estimation unit I 2.14, power estimation unit Q 2.15, adder 2.16, at least two averaging units: first averaging unit 2.17, second averaging unit 2.18, switchboard 2.19, comparator 2.20, main logic control unit 2.21, threshold detector 2.22, RAM 2.23.

EFFECT: development of AGC method with time division of channels and device for its implementation, which provide high-speed multichannel reception of data packets with high level of accuracy of input signal for each separate channel.
