SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to novel photoinitiators and a method for production thereof, which can be used in chemical industry. Disclosed is a method of producing compounds of formula (I):

where n is from 1 to 3, m is equal to 2, R2 is phenyl optionally having up to three substituents selected from fluoro, C1-8 alkyl, S1-8perftorlkila, S1-8alkoksi, S1-8perftoralkoksi and phenyl, R3 is absent, R1 at n equal to 1, is a substitute of formula (IIa) or (IIb)-C(1)R62-C(2)H(Z)(R7) (IIa), -C(1)R62-N(R8)2 (IIb), R1 at n equal to 2–3, is a substitute of formula (IIe) R*[C(2)HR9-C(1)(R9)2-]n (IIe), where C(1) is bonded to a phosphorus atom, R6 and R7 independently represent H, Z or R8 , Z is selected from -CN, -(CO)OH, -(CO)OR8, -(CO)NH(R8), -(CO)N(R8)2, -(SO2)R8, -(PO)(R8)2 or pyridinyl, R8 independently represents C1-C4-alkyl, C2-C4-alkenyl or phenyl, or two R8 together represent alkanediyl, where alkyl and alkanediyl substitutes are not interrupted or interrupted by non-consecutive groups, selected from -O-, -NR4-, and optionally substituted with substitutes selected from oxo, -(CO)OR4, R* at n equal to 2 is a divalent substitute selected from -SO2-, and R* at n equal to 2 or 3, is R10 (-Het-(C=O)-)n, where Het is O or NR4, and R10 is C1-C18-alkan-n-yl, C2-C18-alken-n-yl, and carbonyl carbons are bonded with C(2), R4 is selected from H, where alkan-n-yl and alkene-n-yl are not interrupted or interrupted in a row by -O- and NR4, or substituted -(CO)OR4, R9 is H, where the method involves reacting a compound of formula (III)
in the case where n equals 1, with compounds of formula (IVa) or (IVb)R62C(1)=C(2)(Z)(R7) (IVa)R62C(1)=N+(R8)2An- (IVb) in case n is equal to 2–3, with compounds of formula (IVe)R*[R9C(2)=C(1)(R9)2]n (IVe), where in formula (III) and (IVa), (IVb)-(IVe)(1), (2), R2, R3, R6, R7, R8, R9, R*, n, m and Z have a value higher, and M2 is hydrogen or 1/q equivalent of a q-valent metal ion or represents an ammonium ion or a heterocycle cation, guanidinium ion or ion of primary, secondary, tertiary or quaternary organic ammonium of formula [N(C1-C18-alkyl)sHt]+ , where s equals 1, 2 or 3, and t equals (4-s), An- is 1/p equivalent of p-valent anion, and whereby reaction, if M2 is hydrogen, is carried out in the presence of a base. Also disclosed is a method of producing compounds of formula (V) from said compound of formula (I)
(V) by reacting with an oxidising agent.
EFFECT: disclosed are compounds of formula (I) and (V), and use of compound (V) as a photoinitiator.
