FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of making glass-ceramic articles and serves to reduce internal stresses occurring in glass-ceramic articles during production thereof. Method involves external exposure to ultrasonic vibrations. Ultrasonic vibrations of power 1.5–2 kW and frequency 19–22 kHz are applied to surface of glass-ceramic item. Ultrasonic transducer is pressed against the surface of the glass ceramic product with force of 0.03 kg/cm2 and is moved along the horizontal and vertical axes of the surface of the article with a step equal to half the diameter of the ultrasonic transducer.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of ultrasonic oscillations for residual voltages removal.
