RAM-TYPE BLOWOUT PREVENTER Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC E21B33/06

Abstract RU 2719887 C1

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sealing equipment of wellheads of oil and gas wells during their operation and repair in order to ensure safety, prevention and elimination of oil, gas and water ingresses (OGWI), including at wells with inclined mouth of two-row pipe string, protection of entrails and environment. Ram-type blowout preventer comprises upper and lower flanges, housing equipped with vertical circular axial channel, relative to axial channel there are symmetrically arranged side horizontal channels, longitudinal axis of the side horizontal channels are located perpendicular to the axis of the vertical channel, in the first horizontal channels made in the housing with the possibility of longitudinal movement, there are installed ram blocks, in which there are pipe dies equipped with elastic seals, and manual control drives of dies, which include driving rods of dies, having threaded connections for interaction with covers screwed into housing. Cavities of bodies of ram blocks in cross section have rectangular shape, and elastic seals are arranged in slots made in tube dies. Upper part of the axial channel of the body is equipped with a conical mounting surface with an angle equal to 6°, tapering from top to bottom for installation of a replaceable sealing bushing in it. In the upper flange the second horizontal channels are made, which have a round shape in the cross section, in the hermetic version outside the horizontal channels of the upper flange are screwed the side screw stops interacting with sliding cylindrical slides placed in the horizontal channel. Retractable slides are equipped with key and shaped slots, and upper flange is equipped with keys, installed in key slots of sliding slides, having the possibility of radial movement within key slots and rigid fixation of replaceable sealing bushing in conical mounting surface of body with shaped slots of slides. In preventer ram blocks there are tube dies provided with elastic seals for sealing of used pipe string. Lower flange is replaceable and equipped with two L-shaped grooves arranged symmetrically relative to each other. Each of L-shaped slots is made of interconnected vertical short and horizontal long sections. In lower part of external side of preventer is two guide pins with possibility of axial and radial movement of pins in corresponding L-shaped slots with subsequent fixation on end of horizontal long sections of L-shaped slots with locking screws.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency and safety of operations at occurrence of OGWI at wellhead of inclined wells, versatility of design, reduction of metal consumption, expansion of technological capabilities of structure, provision of tightness in case of steam release.
