FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to slag processing (dross), which is formed during aluminium processing. Aluminium is extracted from slag by transportation of first slag bowl containing mixed slag from mixing station in slag treatment unit, on which slag was mixed in first slag cup so as to separate desired extracted metal from slag, to pressing station in same slag treatment unit. Positioning of the second slag bowl containing slag at mixing station and simultaneous mixing of slag in second slag bowl by means of mixing station and slag pressing in first slag bowl with the help of pressing station so that to further separate desired extracted metal from slag. Extraction is carried out in a slag treatment unit comprising a stirring station on which slag is mixed in a first slag bowl so as to separate the extracted metal from the slag, and a pressing station on which slag is pressed in a second slag bowl which was previously mixed at a stirring station in a second slag bowl while simultaneously stirring the slag in a first slag bowl so as to further separate the desired recovered metal from the slag.
EFFECT: invention enables extraction of aluminium from slag while cooling/quenching with reduction of slag thermite combustion.
