FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for production of ferroboron by electric furnace aluminum-thermal method in inclined hearth with periclase lining. Charge is offered at the following ratio of components, wt%: boric acid 21.4-23.0, boron anhydride 12.8–13.2, iron oxide scale 18.9–19.0, artificial scale 11.5–12.1, primary aluminum powder 22.2–22.5, burnt lime 9.8–10.8, fluorspar concentrate 0.43–0.46, and culinary salt 0.86–0.92.

EFFECT: invention enables to find optimum weight ratio between components of the charge with normal thermal stability, obtain a ferroboron with low content of phosphorus, copper, silicon and carbon, as well as high extraction of boron into the alloy.
