FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy and can be implemented for processing iron ore, final slag, dust and slime of metallurgical production with increased iron extraction. Charge materials are loaded into a melting chamber and are melted. Also a reducing and oxidising zones are divided; and volume of the reducing zone is augmented in a slag melt up to 70-80% of melt volume; for this purpose melting in the melting chamber with a case cooled with a metallic heat carrier is performed by means of heat from oxygen-fuel burners installed 0.3-0.8 m above the maximum level of slag melt; flares of the burners are immersed into melt. Reduction of iron is carried out with carbon containing materials blown into a flow of heated nitrogen. Slag and metal melt mixing is performed with nitrogen blown through porous plugs in lining of the bottom of the melting chamber, and with bubbles of carbon monoxide escaping from slag melt at iron oxides reducing. Not reduced slag melt, containing 5-15% of iron oxides, is tapped from the melting chamber simultaneously with produced iron carbonic metal melt in the same ladle via chutes set off against each other, then slag is finally reduced and iron carbonic metal melt is refined.
EFFECT: increased extraction of iron.
