FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to production of hot-rolled coil from cryogenic structural steel for production, transportation and storage of liquefied gases. Technical result is provided due to that steel is melted, containing, wt. %: 0.01–0.05 C; 0.10–0.30 Si; 0.20–0.60 Mn; not more than 0.10 Cr; 8.90–10.0 Ni; 0.001–0.010 V; 0.02–0.08 Al; 0.001–0.008 N; 0.001–0.20 Cu; not more than 0.003 S; not more than 0.010 P, the rest is Fe, pouring, hot rolling of slab in roughing and finishing continuous groups of stands of broad-strip mill, differentiated cooling of strip with water from above and from below with sections of suction device on discharge roll table with subsequent coiling. Temperature mode of rolled metal production is regulated.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining a strip with high cold resistance at -196 °C with simultaneous combination of high strength and sufficient plasticity without using special heat treatment.
