FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of plants, in particular to a method for using biologically active substances for protecting vegetables from viruses. Method for protecting vegetable crops from virus-induced infections involves spraying with solution containing 300–600 l of water at temperature of 30–45 °C and pH of 6–8, extracellular enzyme of the Serratia marcescens strain producer in concentration of 400–3200 ths. un/m2 and activator of MgSO 4 enzyme in amount of 0.1–0.8 g/m2 of plant leaf plates. Plants are treated from four times and more during one period of vegetation.

EFFECT: proposed method of protecting plants provides not only protection of plants from virus diseases, but also prevention of virus-induced diseases, adapted to production conditions and having environmental safety, and also prevents distribution of outbreaks of viral infections in protected soil conditions.
