FIELD: protective devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of lowering underwater equipment at wellhead. In particular, disclosed is a method of lowering a device through a thickness of water, including lowering guide element and load through thickness of water, wherein lower end of guide element is attached to load, so that guide element is tensioned and maintained in general in vertical orientation, being in its lowered position, and lowering of device directed by means of guide element, through thickness of water, at that, device is freely lowered through water, wherein the load and the device are made so that the load supports the device when they are in contact. Device is a device for protection of underwater equipment. Said device is designed so that it can be subjected to more significant hydrodynamic forces than guide element and load. Note here that guide element and weight can freely descend through water.
EFFECT: technical result is simplification of design and reduction of labor costs for installation of protective device of wellhead equipment at sea bottom.
