FIELD: nuclear energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering, namely, to design of fuel assemblies of nuclear reactors. Fuel assembly of nuclear reactor includes upper and lower shanks, guide channels, fuel elements located in nodes of triangular grid, and at least one grid consisting of cells which are inseparably connected to each other. Each of cells is made in the form of profiled tube, longitudinal axis of which coincides with longitudinal axis of fuel element and has cross-section in form of hexagon, which facets consist of middle and two extreme sections. Extreme areas of faces, at least at ends of cells on side of upper shank have a sag, monotonously varying in value along longitudinal axis of cell. Near adjacent edges of the cell, extreme sections adjoining the common vertex of the hexagon, have the deflection direction opposite to the cell centre. In contacting faces of adjacent cells direction of deflections relative to centres of proper cells are opposite. There is no gap between grid cells.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at efficient mixing of heat carrier in order to improve heat removal from heat-generating elements.
