FIELD: wireless communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Method of using a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) comprises steps of: controlling one or more physical downlink control channels (PDCCH) for paging resources associated with a first subset of synchronization signal units (SS) which corresponds to a first beam tracking area (BTA); and transmitting to base station (BS) a signal indicating a second BTA associated with second subset of SS units, provided that at least a result of one measurement of at least one beam associated with first subset of SS units is less than a predetermined threshold value, wherein set of SS units comprises first subset of SS units and second subset of SS units.
EFFECT: technical result consists in provision of possibility to support multiplexing of paging messages for multiple wireless transmit/receive units (WTRU) in beam-oriented system.
