FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) determines candidates of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). For an interval, the WTRU determines the number of valid PDCCH candidates associated with at least one search space based on the number of assigned search spaces associated with the WTRU in the interval, the type of search space, the priority associated with the search space, the number of required control channel element (CCE) channel estimates associated with the search space, the maximum number of PDCCH candidates in the interval and the number of control resource sets (CORESETs) associated with the interval.
EFFECT: reduced complexity of blind detection by means of determining which PDCCH candidates need to be monitored at a particular moment.
