SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a nutritional composition for infants and young children. Nutritional composition contains: at least 0.4 g, or at least 0.7 g of oligofructose per 100 kcal of said nutritional composition, or at least 3 g/l, or at least 5 g/l of oligofructose, if said composition is a ready-to-use liquid composition, or a sufficient amount of oligofructose to obtain at least 3 g/l or 5 g/l of oligofructose in the composition after dissolution, if said nutritional composition is an energy or concentrated composition. Said pathogenic bacteria are or include Klebsiella pneumoniae, and/or E. coli, and/or Enteropathogenic E. coli, and/or Clostridium difficile, and/or Clostridium perfringens. Said composition contains triglycerides with high content of sn-2-palmitate, preferably triglycerides having more than 33 % palmitic acids in position sn-2.
EFFECT: nutrient composition is intended for inhibition, reduction or inhibition of growth of pathogenic bacteria in intestines of infants or young children.
