FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for surface finish-hardening of parts. Device comprises housing with deforming elements in form of cylindrical rods of elastic material, adjustable pressing mechanism in form of plunger, pressed by spring, layer of balls arranged between the plunger and the end of the transition cylindrical rods. Deforming elements are made replaceable and installed in threaded holes of transition cylindrical rods. Diameter of the deforming elements hammer part d is determined from the ratio: where F is the plunger impact force on the balls layer, N; ν is plunger stroke frequency, Hz; t is part surface treatment time, s; Nr is number of installed transient cylindrical rods; σ – preset compression stress in material of surface layer of machined part, Pa; Cl is coefficient of losses reading decreasing impact force F from plunger to deforming elements, which is accepted depending on diameters of balls and number of deforming elements equal to Cl = 0.7–0.9.
EFFECT: design of the device is simplified.
