FIELD: devices used in slaughtering.

SUBSTANCE: installation for slaughtering includes conveyor line (1) with suspensions (2) for hanging birds (3) by legs and transportation of poultry (3) along conveyor path (7) in direction of transportation (4) from front end (5') to rear end (5'') of slaughter device (5). Poultry (3) comprises neck (16), head and beak (15). Proposed unit comprises head positioning device configured to forcibly move beak (15) of bird (3) in direction opposite to direction of transportation (4) of suspended bird (3). Device for slaughtering (5) comprises at least first disc knife (6) arranged parallel to conveyor path (7) for hitting in neck (16) of bird (3) and cutting artery (11a) and vein (12a) birds (3) neck (16), avoiding cutting trachea (13), esophagus (14) and vertebra (18) in neck (16). At least first guide wheel (9) is provided front in direction of movement and near first disc knife (6), wherein wheel (9) is located parallel to conveyor path (7) so that first disc knife (6) and first guide wheel (9) are located on opposite sides of conveyor path (7). Between the first disc knife (6) and the first guiding wheel (9) there remains a through passage through which passes the neck of said bird (16), which is forced to cutting contact with the first disc knife (6).

EFFECT: invention ensures poultry slaughter without damaging the trachea, esophagus and spine.
