FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an active temporary roof attachment device attached to a mining machine, to a mining machine and a corresponding method. Disclosed is an apparatus for active temporary roof attachment, intended for attachment to a mining machine and comprising at least one set of support elements, each set comprising at least a first support member and a second support member for supporting a subterranean tunnel roof, a drive unit for driving a plurality of support members to provide successive movement of the first and second support members for alternately interacting with the roof, to provide support of roof with at least one support element in process of rock excavation performed by mining machine.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of safety of works, due to creation of mining machine and corresponding method, providing constant support for roof, including under unfavourable conditions of mining.
