FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems and methods for mining using an inertial guidance system configured to ensure accurate excavation of rock, not requiring advancement of the sighting line along an extended and/or nonlinear mining path. The mining system comprises a mining machine with a drive mechanism controlled in the direction of movement, configured for the mining machine to advance along the preset mining path, a cutting mechanism configured to separate rock from the wall of the mining path, a screw mechanism configured to collect the separated rock, and a conveyor mechanism configured to move the collected rock to the back part of the mining machine. The conveyor apparatus is configured to move rock from the back part of the machine to the outlet of the mine. A bridge is functionally connected with the mining machine, wherein the bridge is configured to be positioned behind the mining machine in order to facilitate installation of the equipment of the conveyor apparatus behind the mining machine. The inertial guidance system is configured to detect the movement of the mining machine and provide directional guidance as assistance in guiding the mining machine along a preset production path and positioning the bridge substantially perpendicular to the face. The inertial guidance system includes at least one accelerometer configured to detect acceleration along the x axis of the mining machine, along the y axis of the mining machine, and/or along the z axis of the mining machine, at least one gyroscope configured to detect rotation around the x axis of the mining machine, rotation around the y axis of the mining machine, and/or rotation around the z axis of the mining machine, and a programmable logic controller configured to receive data of the detected acceleration from at least one accelerometer and/or rotation data from at least one gyroscope, determine the movement of the mining machine as a function of time, and calculate the directional guidance to advance the mining machine along the preset production path. The inertial guidance system is configured to provide directional guidance in order to facilitate maintenance of the bridge and conveyor apparatus when placed with the mining machine.
EFFECT: increase in the heading productivity due to the reliable guidance system.
