FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of cleaning exhaust gases of rotary furnaces of alumina production. For purification of gases it is proposed to use multi-stage cleaning in dust chamber, cyclones, electric filters and further "wet" cleaning from fine dust in scrubber-electrostatic precipitators. Off-gases with carbon dioxide content of not less than 18.5 %, cleaned from dust in scrubber-electrostatic precipitators, are then directed into carbonizers of hydrochemical production of aluminum hydroxide.
EFFECT: invention provides purification of atmospheric air from dust and carbon dioxide in emissions from rotary sintering furnaces, and their subsequent use for extraction of aluminum hydroxide from aluminate solutions of alumina production.
