FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for processing mixed sodium-potassium alumina-containing charge in the production of alumina. The method of heat treatment of a sodium-potassium alumina-containing charge includes drying, heating, decarbonization, sintering in a rotary kiln in a counterflow of heating gases and sintered material, collecting dust from the exhaust gases, separating it in a multi-stage gas cleaning system and feeding dust collected in the first stage of the system for sintering gas purification. Fine dust captured in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd electric field of the electrostatic precipitator is removed from the furnace and sent to correction pools for the preparation of raw limestone-nepheline charge. Dust collected in the 4th and 5th electric fields of the electrostatic precipitator is granulated and used as frost-resistant additives in road mixtures.
EFFECT: reduction in fuel consumption during the sintering process of the charge and the raw material component – limestone, reduction in the emissions of dust from electrostatic precipitators into the atmosphere and recycling of dust from electrostatic precipitators.
