FIELD: hydrochemical production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the equipment of hydrochemical industries and can be used in the production of alumina from nephelines by sintering. The carbonizer contains a cylindrical housing (1) with a conical bottom (2) and a lid (3), pipes (5) for supplying gas to the carbonizer located vertically inside the housing, the lower parts of which are fixed coaxially in cylindrical shells rigidly connected to each other and the walls of the housing, an airlift (4) for mixing the aluminum hydroxide suspension formed during the decomposition of solutions, and an exhaust pipe (10) for removing exhaust gas from it, before which a protective compartment (12) is installed, located above the level of the aluminate solution in the device and preventing the release of alkali aerosols into the atmosphere.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the reduce of the emissions of alkali aerosols into the atmosphere.
