FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: claimed group of inventions relates to metal forming and can be used to form slots by means of cams. Device has more than two cams, each of which has gear wheel, which is in gearing with drive gear for rotation of all cams. Each cam has: a cam surface with discontinuities and areas of increasing constant radius, a traction surface projecting from the cam body and a stop surface located near the break. At that, rupture in each cam surface is aligned with gap in traction surface of each cam to provide clearance for insertion and removal of tubular element between cams to form circumferential groove at rotation of cams. Device also comprises a cup located near the drive gear, made with possibility of movement along axis of drive gear for engagement and disengagement with locking surface on one of cams. Engagement between the cup and the locking surface prevents the rotation of the cam.
EFFECT: enlarging technical capabilities of the device and improving accuracy of grooving.
